Cotton

Fine woven cotton fabrics
Category:

Description

Pro Cotton Satin and Pro Cotton Percal are two rich, finely woven cotton fabrics. These natural textiles are great for indoor decoration in small runs. In fact, you can order this material from as little as 1 m2.
Pro Cotton Satin

Pro Cotton Satin has the properties of cotton: it breathes and is moisture absorbent. Satin says nothing about the material, but about the method of weaving. In a satin weave, the cotton is woven much closer together than in Pro Cotton Percal. In addition, the top weft threads are loose, giving the Pro Cotton Satin a slight sheen.
This material weighs 100 grams per m2 and has a maximum print width of 290 in one piece.
Pro Cotton Percal

Pro Cotton Percal is a luxurious fabric and has a soft look, but without the sheen of Pro Cotton Satin. The difference from "normal" cotton is the number of threads, the thread count, used. Pro Cotton Percal has a higher thread count and finer yarn. As a result, it feels softer, smoother and more pleasant to the touch. It may be called "Percal" because there are more than 200 threads per square inch in the fabric. Pro Cotton Percal, thanks to its high weave density, does not pile quickly and stays looking beautiful for a long time.
The material weighs 130 grams per m2 and has a maximum print width of 284 cm in one piece.
Most common applications

These two types of cotton are mainly used as curtains, decorative pillows or tablecloths. The materials are not fire retardant but because they are used as decorative applications, they are allowed in public areas.
BCI for guaranteed quality

Mezo is made according to the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) requirements. This is a partnership between development organizations, environmental organizations and industry and focuses on making cotton farming more sustainable. BCI cotton is grown around the world and blended together in different locations. The blending of the cotton ensures guaranteed quality.
Finishing options

With these materials, there are different finishes available. For example, you can choose to have the material cut, hemmed or tunneled. If you choose finishing per side, then the first color choice of yarn is carried through for each side.
