Polystyrene

 

Polystyrene is a solid, plastic sheet material with a smooth top layer. Polystyrene is pliable and can be printed on both sides. In addition, it is lightweight and therefore easy to hang.

The material is available in thicknesses of 1 or 2 mm. Polystyrene has a maximum one-piece print width of 116 cm and a maximum one-piece print height of 196 cm.

Strong material and fully recyclable

Polystyrene is a strong material that is completely recyclable. Displays produced from Polystyrene are more durable than their cardboard counterparts. The material is often compared to Forex®, but Polystyrene is a lot stronger and drill holes are less likely to tear out.

Most common applications

The most common applications for Polystyrene are (illuminated) POS displays, light box plates, rally shields, booth construction and signage.

The material is fire retardant and therefore suitable for public areas. Humid areas are not a problem, as the material does not absorb moisture.
